LOWRI MORGAN

Adventurer, ultra-endurance marathon runner and multi-award and BAFTA winning television presenter, Lowri is one of an elite group of people, and the sole finisher in 2011, to complete the notoriously difficult 350-mile non-stop, self-sufficient, Arctic footrace, the 6633 Ultra (completed on crutches with a fractured foot), and earned a top ten finish in the gruelling Amazon Jungle Ultra Marathon (2009), which only 55 of 130 starters finished. Lowri has also gone on to complete a vast number of challenges, including the 333 Challenge, in which she became the holder of the fastest known time to run three ultra-marathons (150-miles), over three of Wales’ most iconic peaks, in three days

Lowri has also broadcasted live from international sporting events which include rugby’s 6 Nations, international athletics events for the BBC and Channel 4 and is the main presenter on BBC Sport’s flagship rugby show Scrum V.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Former Welsh National Women’s Rugby Team winger

  • Top Ten finisher (third fastest female, second fastest amateur) at 2009’s Jungle Ultra Marathon

  • Sole finisher at 2011’s 6633 Ultra 350-mile non-stop Arctic footrace

  • Fastest known time running 150 miles from North to South Wales via three of Wales’ highest peaks in 60 hours

  • Line Honours in the Three Peaks Yacht Race. First female crew to not only complete it but to become the first to cross the line first

  • 4th in the notoriously difficult Dragon’s Back Race
