In mid-February, the energy charged Tim Emmett set out on his first ever tour with his show Extreme High, sponsored by outdoor brand Mountain Hardwear. Last week his tour came to an end when Tim returned to his home town of Taunton where he played to a pretty full house at the Brewhouse Theatre.
Whether he's ice climbing, BASE jumping or flying in his wingsuit, Tim is a man on a mission to seek out extreme adventure in all its forms - breath-taking, scary and not to be tried at home!
In Extreme High Tim talked about his incredible life, giving the audience an insight into the mindset of an extreme sports athlete. As energy-charged as his life, Tim's infectious enthusiasm was brought alive using video footage, sound effects and images to provide a dramatic backdrop to his gripping stories. These stories include B.A.S.E jumping from a 3000m rock face in Norway and ‘flying’ down with the use of a wing-suit, when he reached speeds of up to 250 MPH whilst creating zero CO2 emissions. Three times the number of people have reached Mount Everest’s peak than have completed B.A.S.E jumps – even less have done so with a wing-suit.
His awesome show received great feedback from audiences up and down the UK. Here's what some people thought:
'I'm just back from you're Inverness lecture, and let me tell you out of all the climbing related talks I have been to yours was the funniest, most exciting one of the lot. It has inspired me to climb harder and to take whatever oppurtunity comes my way.'
'Your presentation was fantastic and had us gripped from beginning to end. Judging by the reaction of all the people sat around us they all enjoyed it too.'
'I attended your talk at the Brewhouse in Taunton the other night and just wanted to say that i enjoyed it very much. It has also given me the kick up the back side that i needed to dust of my climbing hardwear and get back out there...'
If you were lucky enough to see Tim's show we would love to know what you thought - please get in touch and let us know.
