After a well earned break over Christmas, spent photographing the dramatic wintry landscapes of the Peak District, John Beatty will be back on the road at the end of this month with his stunning lecture show Wild Vision.

Sponsored by leading travel clothing brand Rohan, Wild Vision gives audiences a unique opportunity to hear John’s captivating stories from his travels to the most remote landscapes of our planet. One of the UK’s leading travel and adventure photographers, John’s lecture show is not about correct shutter speeds or apetures, but rather a chance to marvel at the beauty around us. In his own words, his work aims “to capture the timeless rhythms of the natural environment, its beauty and simplicity, and man’s place within it”.

Just before Christmas, Rosanna Rothery from the North Devon Journal gave her response to seeing John’s Wild Vision in Barnstaple:
“I'm not a photographer but John made me want to be one. Since hearing him talk I have been open to so many more of those special moments: a lonely road, light falling on hill tops in the early in the morning, the colours in a sunset.
His maxim in photography is: respond to what's there; capture the feeling; wait for that special moment; don't impose your artistic view on the world but be ready for that fleeting moment when you see something extraordinary, moving or special.
I was inexplicably moved by Beatty's whole meditative approach to photography and nature — and his son Robin Beatty's evocative soundtracks which accompany his pictures.
What I thought would be a mediocre evening of dull camera talk turned out to be a life changing experience which has helped me appreciate textures, colours, light, tranquility and transient moments. In short: Beatty has helped me 'see'.”
With only 7 dates left to go, don’t miss out on your chance to see John’s show.
