Internationally acclaimed alpinist, mountain photographer and film-maker Ian Parnell talks about his incredible life spent climbing some of the most audacious routes in the world.

Ian has led expeditions in the Himalaya, Alaska, Greenland, Patagonia and Kyrgyzstan. He made the first ascent of Arwa Spire in India and has climbed new routes on Annapurna III in Nepal and Saf Minal and Kedar Dome in India. In the last 4 years, Ian provided the world with live footage of Sir Ranulph’s Everest and Eiger Challenges, managing to film both expeditions whilst also successfully reaching the summits himself.  In June 2009 he helped injured serviceman Phil Packer to climb El Capitan in Yosemite, filming the challenge for ITN news and helping Phil to raise over £1 million for the chairy Help for Heroes.

An entertaining and captivating speaker, Ian’s insights into the world of mountaineering are accompanied by stunning images and raw footage.
