Overcoming obstacles

Making the journey from unqualified school-leaver with poor literacy skills to internationally acclaimed mountaineer and published writer takes a great deal of self-belief. Rejecting the pre-conceived notions of what you can do if you are paralysed from the chest down, or have lost your hands and feet to frostbite, requires the ability to keep yourself motivated, everyday. Many of our speakers have overcome tremendous obstacles to achieve great things and are committed to showing young people how they too can realise their potential and choose to live the life that they want.
